Piece of Work Wednesday Link Party Number 22!

Is anyone else having trouble with blogger adding links lately... I apoligize- trying to fix my links but it keeps not allowing me.
Hey there, friends!  I am so excited about the piece I have to share for the party today, probably because it's for my own house. :)  My friend Rene from Cottage & Vine has been working on her entry and showing great inspiration pics, like these two...

(Southern Living)

(Little Green Notebook)
And then there is her own...

(Cottage and Vine)
Isn't it adorable???  We've been chatting about who has the smaller foyer.  I am pretty sure mine takes the cake.   Just look at that teensy space by the door!
Anywho, after seeing all of Rene's inspiration, I was inspired and decided my foyer needed updating and a punch of color.  I loved the dark dramatic colors of the pieces in the first images.  And I am never going to fit anything but this tiny dresser in that spot.

So, it was time for a makeover... I sanded it down, primed it with my Kilz Clean Start primer, though I wasn't yet sure what color.  I am trying to use things I have on hand, so I looked through my paints and settled on Benjamin Moore's Newburg Green in Aura.  It was PERFECT.  I am thrilled with how it turned out!  And I had some funky chunky brass knobs on hand from an old dresser and replaced the knobs with those. Here it is now!

I removed the shelf above, too, and there will be some other minor changes happening soon, too!  But for now, I LOVE this piece!

Hi Cassie, love that bright blue! It's the perfect pop of color in your foyer. It will make you smile everytime you open the front door. And the chunky brass knobs are an unexpected surprise. Great job!

that is a great blue. Oh how I wish you lived closer. I dread the three tables I have to paint.

Second thoughts ... I assume a mirror counts as furniture. If not, sorry to crash the party. Delete away!

I thought maybe it was my eyes but, it seems as though others also think Newberg Green is a very beautiful blue! Love the blue, the knobs, and the splash of color it adds to your entry!

I like the new color of the dresser! I liked the "before" and I really liked the numbers, but it kind of disappeared in that small space. Now it really pops! I've been working on a small table myself but it's not quite done yet. Maybe for next week's POWW! In the meantime I'll just have fun checking out what everyone else has been up to!

That is really fun! And it looked blue up until one of the bottom pics and then I could see some green. Either way, a beautiful color!

I love the pop of color! I never would have glanced twice at those knobs, but I love how they look on the dresser.

Oh my goodness. You weren't kidding about changing things and boy are you ever fast! I love, love, love the color Cassie! And the knobs. Thanks for the shout out! I can't wait to see what else you have planned. Nothing like a little friendly competition to see who has the smallest entry :)

Hi - I just posted #21 a dress up center I made out of an old armoire my kids used. Thanks for hosting, I know there is a cost now - and we really appreciate the parties!

Cassie, I just love your dresser. The blue is just the perfect shade. I love the big vintage knobs too. They take it from formal to fun. Great job as usual!

That's a great color! Your foyer looked great before, but sometimes you just have to change things up a little. It will be fun to see what else you do there.

I'm crazy about that peacocky blue...I've got some swatches in the shade taped to a beast of an armoire right now.

Just came across your blog. I like that your link party is dedicated to furniture -- my favorite! I'll have to stop by again next week to link up my most recent project.
